Just To Be With You

Hello Everyone,
I don't know if you've gotten a chance to see the short film that some friends and I made a couple weeks ago for Apple's Insomnia Film Festival. It was a 24 hour film festival where we have to think of an idea, shoot it, edit it, and submit it within 24 hours. The 3 minute film is about a blind guy and his deaf girlfriend who are going to the movies because they want to get out of the house and just spend time together. It was a lot of fun and good work. We have a friend who works at the local movie theater and we got in before it opened and we set-up our two scenes, the entrance and the theater. Then we shot for 6 straight hours! We had a bunch of our friends come out and be extras which was nice on short notice. I really like the point of view shots of the guy, who is blind, so he doesn't see much other than darkness but he has great hearing while his girlfriend, who is deaf, hears muffled sounds but has great vision. But my favorite part of the shoot was when we set-up the lighting for the movie theater; since the actual movie projector didn't reflect a lot of light onto the crowd, we had to make it up. So I set-up a couple of lights and we just moved colored gels in front of them. It was a lot of fun. TWIRP

Well TWIRP was last weekend I think. Its where as a school, the girls ask the guys out for the weekend. We do a lot of crazy stuff. This year we went to the Barnum and Bailey's Circus, Ice Skating, had Panda Express cater, went to a Corn Maze, rented out a movie theater, had a giant pillow fight, and a bunch of other stuff I don't remember. So a friend of mine, Olivia, asked me and we went with my two friends and roommates Adam and Kyle, they were asked by Olivia's friends. Every year for TWIRP we have a theme, this years theme was Noah's Ark. Our dates went as the people who didn't believe that the flood would occur so they had swim gear and whatnot. Us guys on the other hand went as "Water", but we just wanted to paint our body blue so we're kind like the Blue Man Group. People loved it! Hope you like it. I don't know how my blue rubbed off.

Here are some random pictures of some stuff I've been up to. My friend Adam and myself visited an abanonded cement factory on the border of Idaho and Oregon so we checked it out. This is actually where I hope to shoot some of my senior film. Fingers crossed!!! Then our Mass Comm department had a grip seminar and we learned a lot. It was great. Here I am with my friend Rodney in a tulip crane. Very neat! Here's my friend Nasty Nate putting me in a headlock. And then we had a broom hockey night where we seniors every year have dominated the competition! Go WINGS!

New Haircut??

Hello everyone. Its been awhile since I posted anything. Sorry. Just been really busy workin' on school work and having fun. So a couple roommates of mine persuaded me to do something different with my hair. We buzzed it; I haven't done that since Ian buzzed Leo and my head like when I was in elementary school. Here it is.
